Da-Lite InfoComm 2011 Wrap-Up

June 28th, 2011

InfoComm_Booth.jpg2011 was yet another exciting year at InfoComm for Da-Lite! In addition to the product awards we received (see previous posts about these awards), Da-Lite had other technology demonstrations happening in the Da-Lite booth, featuring the latest in innovative technology and powerful tools to aid Da-Lite's dealers, AV Consultants, architects and other specifiers in selecting and configuring Da-Lite products.

1. Over the Da-Lite booth, we demonstrated an 8' high by 60' wide (yes, 60 feet!) seamless Series 300 Lace and Grommet screen. The screen was manufactured using Da-Lite's own JKP Affinity HD Progressive 0.9 fabric. Illuminating the screen were (5) Christie HD12K projectors, which were edge-blended for a seamless image. 3D_Theater.jpg2. In the Da-Lite 3D Virtual Grey Theater, we featured one of latest and most innovative screen technologies. The 3D Virtual Grey screen was designed specifically for passive 3D front projection systems, and is a flexible projection fabric that retains 99 percent of polarized light.  Other characteristics include the ability to maintain high extinction values, virtually eliminate ghosting or crosstalk common with stereoscopic 3D projection and excellent image contrast.  3D Virtual Grey offers a 1.85 gain, which is compatible with low levels of ambient light.

4. Da-Lite also had a variety of other new product announcements that should be mentioned…

PicoScreenOpen.jpgThe Pico Screen: This new screen was designed specifically with Pico Projectors in mind and creates the perfect lightweight portable projection system for business meetings, training, gaming and many other applications.

Second, Da-Lite demonstrated its expanded Polacoat line of rear projection optical coatings with the addition of DA-50 WA, a wide-angle optical coating designed by Da-Lite for its diffusion rear projection screens. Specifically designed for applications using high-lumen projectors in conjunction with short throw lenses, this optical coating provides wider half-gain angles than traditional coatings, while reducing the incidence of hot spotting.

VideoConf_ERC.jpgThird, Da-Lite showed the Video Conferencing Equipment Rack Cart, which is both a beautiful piece of furniture and a mobile solution for any professional video conferencing session. The Video Conferencing Equipment Rack Cart features two locking doors which conceal rack mounted equipment, a camera shelf which may be installed above or below the display, and supports up to a 50" diagonal monitor.

That's what was hot in the Da-Lite booth for InfoComm 2011! For additional information on any of these products, simply click on the product links in each article to view more details on our web site.
