For Da-Lite Electrol Projection Screens

To operate Da-Lite Electrol series projection screens from one or more locations, a control system is required. The Da-Lite 3-button Single Motor Low Voltage Control System was designed specifically for that purpose. It features ease of installation and operates at the touch of a button from a switch or transmitter. With the Da-Lite LVC System, the screen can be controlled in four different ways:

  1. Low Voltage Switch Control
  2. Radio Frequency Remote Control
  3. Infrared Remote Control
  4. Auxiliary Control

The LVC consists of a printed circuit board with the microcomputer, relays and a transformer. The control components are housed in a metal electrical box. It is possible to control the screen from any number of 3-button switches, or computer controls. An infrared remote and a radio frequency remote can be added as control options. The low voltage 3-button switch utilizes 12 volts DC to control the motorized screen. The LVC is designed to UL, CSA and National Electrical Code standards. The overall housing size is: 4" x 6" x 2 1/2".

The Switch Control, complete with a painted cover plate, may be flush mounted on any wall in a standard single gang electrical box. The 3-button Switch Control allows you to move the screen, up or down and stop it any position when you momentarily press either the UP, DOWN or STOP buttons as instructed. The screen may be operated without regard to the status of the other switches.

The Radio Frequency Remote Control
Da-Lite part number 82433, consists of the Single Motor Low Voltage Control System, a 3/4 channel radio transmitter and radio receiver. Three buttons on the transmitter allow you to move the screen up or down and to stop it at any position.

  • Radio receiver plugs right into the LVC unit.


The Infrared Remote Control
Da-Lite part number 82434, consists of the Single Motor Low Voltage Control System, a 3-button infrared transmitter and an infrared sensor. Three buttons on the transmitter allow you to move the screen up or down and to stop it at any position.
  • Typical range is 50'
  • Infrared sensor plugs right into the LVC unit.
Auxiliary Control
The screen can be controlled by a relay closure system. For example, the wires coming from the relays are connected to the switch interface terminal on the LVC board. The Auxiliary Control works only with the dry contact closures.

When Ordering Make Appropriate Selections:

  1. Suggested Specifications:
    Electrical rating 115 VAC 60 Hz 5A. The single motor LVC is used to operate Da-Lite single motor electric screens from one or more locations, remote control, or for integration into a control panel system. Operated by a 3-button momentary, dry contact switch. Any combination of single or multiple 3-button switches, optional radio frequency remote or infrared remote, or a control panel with momentary dry contacts may control the LVC. Control board to be mounted in a galvanized steel housing measuring 2-1/4" H x 4-1/2" W x 10-1/2" L. Standard knockouts provided on housing for 1/2" conduit connections. Control to be listed by Underwriter's Laboratories. NOTE: This control cannot be used with the Horizon ElectrolŽ, Ascender ElectrolŽ, or Motorized Scenic Roller screens.
