The deserving “Pick Hit” winning product was none other then Da-Lite’s 3D Virtual Black projection screen material.
Sound & Video Contractor editors investigated the InfoComm floor to find some of the most important, leading edge AV products debuting at the show deserving of the annual InfoComm “Pick Hit” awards. The product had to be technologically innovative, designed to help systems contractors offer more to their clients, while making their jobs easier and moving the industry forward. The awards were given to new products and technologies that debut in 2008, haven’t been introduced at a previous InfoComm and were worthy of highlighting.
At InfoComm 2008 Da-Lite Screen Company introduced the new 3D Virtual Black projection screen material designed exclusively for rear projection. To officially launch the 3D Virtual Black projection screen material, Da-Lite showcased a 3D theater at a second InfoComm booth.
Da-Lite’s 3D Virtual Black is specifically designed and introduced as the first rear 3D projection screen fabric in the industry. It features breakthrough polarization preserving properties engineered by Da-Lite Screen Company’s chemists. 3D Virtual Black effectively eliminates stereoscopic cross talk or “ghosting” by maintaining 99 percent polarization purity, an industry first for 3D projection. The 3D Virtual Black fabric is seamless and stands at 16-foot in height, while it folds easily, making it ideal for traveling and rental applications. Simply stated… 3D Virtual Black has the highest extinction value in the industry.
